Ong Wei Liam @ Jeremy Ong

Mr. Jeremy Ong is our Independent Non-Executive Director. He was appointed to our Board on 21 April 2022.

He obtained a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Queensland, Australia in 2002.

He began his career by participating in the Financial Management Programme (“FMP”) of General Electric International, Inc. (“GE”) in 2002. Subsequently, after completion of the FMP in 2004, he has been posted to China, Singapore and Malaysia between the years 2004 to 2012 wherein he has taken the role of Manager of Finance Analysis and Planning/Risk in GE (China) Co. Ltd., China, corporate audit staff in GE’s Corporate Finance, Malaysia, Supply Chain Finance Manager in GE Oil & Gas, Singapore and Finance Manager in GE Global Business Services Asia Pacific, Singapore.

He left GE and joined CCI Asia Pacific Pte Ltd in Singapore as Asia Chief Financial Officer in 2012, where he was responsible for overall financial and governance function of the company with manufacturing sites located at India, Japan and Korea.

He returned to Malaysia in 2014 and joined the Hextar Group of companies as its Group Chief Operating Officer. He led the restructuring of shared service support for the company as well as the investment management and business development and diversification initiatives of the company. He left the Hextar Group in 2016.

Subsequently, he founded Trunnion Bridge Sdn. Bhd. and Treo Capital Sdn. Bhd. in 2016 and 2018 respectively to venture into the business of providing corporate consultancy services as Chief Executive Officer where he leads the company in providing management and strategic advisory services to clients in various respects.
